Recipe Attribution Policy

Attribution is part of the culture of cooking. We preserve contributor credit on approved public recipes and printed cards.

What we preserve

  • Submitter username and display name on public recipe pages.
  • Named chef / author credits supplied at submission.
  • Source links and import references where provided.
  • Brand watermark on Print Studio cards.

Contributor responsibilities

  • Credit the person or publication that taught you the recipe when it is not your original work.
  • Do not remove another person's credit when adapting or resubmitting.
  • Do not claim ownership of community or traditional recipes that belong to a culture or family without appropriate context.

Site use of your recipes

By submitting, you grant The Culinary Journal the licence described in our Terms and UGC Agreement to display, format, and promote your approved recipe while keeping attribution visible.
